The webcam at work has been running nearly nonstop since january. I checked its output folder and there were 14,777 photos - one every 10 minutes (though it was off a bit in feb). I made a video of my life at work. It's in the podcast feed, but you download it directly here:

I awoke this morn at the crack of dawn, hustling out to my workshop to fix up a few planes. I had an hour before I needed to get to work and I maximized my time repairing two planes and packing the car full of wings, fuselages and equipment.
throughout the day I obcessed about flying. Periodically the lipo battery charger would crank out a pleasant chime, similar to a smoke detector test tone blast, indicating it was time to switch em up (my cube neighbors love me).
but as the clock danced towards parole time bad weather came in. By two thirty I could take no more and my intern even ordered me out.
I briefly stopped to fill my beast and buy more parts from the hobby store before cruising 94 ahead of the looming rain clouds.
I reached the field as sprinkles started and got one quick flight in with my new test plane before the heavens let loose their fits of hydration. In my rush I switched channels on the v-tail and was forced to fly reversed (left being right and right being left). I narrowly missed my car, Miikkas and the clubhouse before setting her down in the tall grass on the far side of the runway. Tom Hess made a stop and Miikka stayed as I anxiously paced the roofed hut waiting for a break. But a break did not come.
determined to get one last flight in, I jumped at a break in the wind and launched a brief flight of the v tail (this time with proper controls) . It was brief and I was wet and defeated returning back to my car, plane in hand.
the only redeeming moment came when, as Miikka and I were in the hut, a bald eagle fought off some hawks and plucked a large fish from the pond. I managed to capture much of it on my SLR (pictures foterhcoming).
Tom had invited us to stop over and as I left the field I changed course as the last moment and went to his house. His wife made us dinner and their fat jack Russell (like a short summer sausage with little legs) jumped at my lap. We worked a bit on a “simple and easy” modification to his new spektrum radio which had us combing the floor for little plastics parts until the rain broke.
testing of the new radio and car complete, I jumped in my car like a Duke boy and raced back to the field. The sun was on the horizon and the ran was nearly a mist. I had an excellent long flight with the expermental v tail and after Tom departed, I stood out in the field and watched a magnificent sunset.
I imagined 00-00 up there, now with Bob and Bob Jr. telling the big guy to throw me a bone.

The plan to move my Grandparents to Heritage House was accelerated by my Grandfathers sudden condition. From Wednesday to Saturday, my family and I moved them from a larger 3 room apartment in Covenant Village (maybe it's still called the "manor") to Heritage House which is a large 1 bedroom apartment but with greater care and care options. The move was hard on Grandmother but she seems to be managing.
Below she awaits Caroyln's return from Grandpa's room in Colonial Acres saturday.
